Augmented Reality Skills Growth for my New Business Venture

In October 2017, I came up with a business concept involving augmented reality (AR). In order to realise this new business, I had to develop my AR creation skills to an intermediate that would allow me to deliver a service on the same level as my previous professional work.

Having spent the past few years developing interactive tools, presentations and animations for several establishments, I feel this is the right time to explore creating products sold to the general public.

It has been both a challenging and rewarding process, as my newly gained skills allow me to create AR 3D character and animated scenes. I am delighted that I am very close to launching my new AR based business and will have the ability to share everything very soon.

My AR Development Journey

Like all of my previous work, this new AR venture requires fast development at a very high standard. I have ensured that my designs will be able to offer a high standard of animation as they will all use a process known as rigging. A character rig is a skeletal frame that is setup within the 3D character, similar to bones and can be manipulated to simulate character movement.

The Images above demonstrate some of the processes involved with my AR 3D character creation. By inventing some of my very own Engineering design techniques I have found ways of reducing my creation times, which has allowed me to create a wider range of AR animations.
