Transport for London enlisted the services of the Colour Design Research Centre (CDRC) to research materials and lighting methods that could be adapted to Bus stations and termination terminals. After acquiring a basic .3ds wire frame model of one of the proposed station designs, we developed the seating areas to include more detail before applying textures, materials and lighting effects. I constructed questionnaires to obtain a basic idea of issues that the general public had with the existing station designs, all findings were then collated into a report that influenced all future choices. We concluded that all areas should have hard wearing surfaces preferably metallic with strong down lighting and hazardous areas should be surrounded by a vibrant yellow.
